Denrique is the author of "The Undisguised Truth," a book of thought-provoking social and political articles; "Stranger Than Fiction," a book of riveting short fiction; and "Reflections of Realism," a book of moving poems. She is the recipient of the Urban Spectrum Newspaper's National Writers Award for Best Collection of Short Fiction and is profiled in Marquis Who's Who in America®.
Denrique is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, the Public Relations Society of America, and the Certified Professional Writers Association. She is a foreign scholar in the field of the Creative Arts. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media from the University of Maryland and earned a Master's degree with distinction in Communication with a concentration in Media & Public Relations and Political Communication from Johns Hopkins University.
An avid reader and excellent scrabble player, Denrique divides her time between Manhattan in New York City and Washington, DC. She enjoys historical travels, photography, ballet (she is professionally trained in ballet and modern dance), health & fitness, fine dining, and watching ABC's "The View" in her spare time.
